At UCCS Transfer Students Can Earn a Life-Changing Degree Without a Lifetime of Debt

UCCS is one of many different higher education institutions in Colorado. But we pride ourselves on offering the most competitive and reasonably priced contribution to your future. UCCS tuition rates continually rank at least $2,500 less than most other in-state universities. We're proud of our distinct programs that feature real-world application and career connections, leading to real return on investment.

It's our mission to help you find financial footing, and we do so in many ways, such as our Chancellor's Award and Peak Award.

  • Chancellor’s Award: Colorado residents with a transfer GPA of 3.0 or better are eligible for the automatic Chancellor’s Award ($2,500 per year!).
  • Peak Award: Out-of-state residents who are not eligible for the WUE tuition rate and have a transfer GPA of 3.0 or better are eligible for the automatic Peak Award ($6,250 per year!).

Students must be admitted before any financial aid packaging occurs. To get the best aid opportunities, please apply for admission to UCCS early and complete your FAFSA application early.

File Your Transfer Application and FAFSA Now
The key to getting financial aid is applying early. Find initial financing via the Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Easily apply for federal student aid online using the UCCS FAFSA Code (004509). This application must be completed by the priority deadline of March 1 of each academic year.
Calculate Your Aid Package
Determine the amount of financial aid you’re eligible for, as well as expected contributions
After you have filed your FAFSA, you will receive your Student Aid Report (SAR), which details your Expected Family Contribution (EFC) and your UCCS Financial Aid Cost of Attendance.

Understanding Your Investment
We offer a transparent view of your total bill
It is our mission to help you understand how much your UCCS education will cost. But we also want you to know that investing in a UCCS education will pay off. We have many different degree options that translate to in-demand careers and real-world opportunities. And many surveyed alumni agree that their studies prepared them for the field of their choosing and helped them get a job. Please use our Tuition Bill Estimator to get started with calculating your cost. From there, Financial Aid can further outline what aid you are eligible for and what it will cover.
Awards To Your Bill
Financial aid awards are credited to your UCCS student billing account at the start of each semester
See your awards in your myUCCS portal. Work-study funds are earned over the course of an academic year and are paid according to the University’s payroll schedule.
